Then it’s time to add Enriched Air Nitrox to your diving! Enriched Air Nitrox mixes appeared in diving a few decades ago as means to accelerate decompression on deeper technical dives and were proven to be very effective. Shortly after recreational dive community realized it’s potential for extending bottom times. Nowadays due to technological development Enriched Air Nitrox became very widespread worldwide. We at Dive Point Red Sea adopted “Nitrox for FREE” approach back in 2002 making diving Enriched Air Nitrox as easy and accessible as possible.
To enroll in a PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty course you must be at least 12 years old and hold a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver certification or an equivalent. The course consists of a few hours theory, contains no mandatory dives and can be easily combined with your diving package and be conducted over one or several days. We will focus on pre-dive procedures, proper gas analysis and dive planning, review benefits and potential dangers of oxygen in application to diving, get a bit deeper into physiology and physics of diving. You will learn about and get a chance to witness different methods of creating Enriched Air Nitrox mixes on a tour around our filling station facilities at Dive Point Red Sea.
