If you want to experience this adventure, are at least a PADI Adventure Diver or higher and a minimum of 15 years old, then the PADI Deep Diving Specialty Course is for you.
You have already completed the first deep dive of the course during your PADI Adventure or PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, so you have to do only three more deep dives to get certified.
Together with your instructor you will start with basic theory about deep diving such as reasonable reasons for diving to a certain depth, special equipment and considerations for this sort of diving as well as planning deep dives. In this course, safety in diving is paramount, which is why we put special emphasis on dive planning, breathing gas management and dive physics. Possible dangers and risks are discussed in detail and how we can avoid them or deal with them if we have to.
The lessons are very hands-on and instructive. For example, you will learn how to prepare, test and use an emergency oxygen supply and you will experience first hand how much the pressure changes at a certain depths and how it affects us.
In order to give you the best relevant experience during the course, we try to dive at dive sites where you can do two 40 meters and one 30 meter dive. These dives you will plan, prepare and carry out with your experienced dive instructor.
