PADI Rescue Diver

Be ready and prepared at all times.

In this course you learn how to recognize dangers before they become a problem and how to help yourself and other divers.

To participate in the PADI Rescue Diver course you must be at least 12 years old and at least certified PADI (Junior) Adventure Diver or equivalent. You must also have completed first aid training within the last 24 months or take the Emergency First Response course with us.

The PADI Rescue Diver course is one of the most exciting and rewarding diving courses. The course will challenge you physically and mentally to prepare you for difficult situations and help you keep a cool head, if you should ever encounter a problem. Despite the serious efforts taken during the course, we will never neglect the fun and most divers say that this is the most rewarding dive course they have ever taken.

At Dive Point Red Sea we start with theory sessions that you may already have prepared in advance. We deal with accident management, respond to diving emergencies, injuries and the psychological effects of rescuing yourself and others.

Afterwards we get into the lagoon to repeat self-rescue exercises in confined open water and learn new skills such as surfacing an unconscious diver.

After a day in and around the lagoon, we will continue the rescue course during your fun dives. During these dives, you will apply what you have learned above and below water and develop your rescue skills.

In addition to a written final exam, the PADI Rescue Diver course also includes a practical final exam, in which we simulate emergency scenarios and you can prove full mastery of your newly acquired knowledge and skills.
